The first Vin en Vrac counter was established in 1992, on Futailles Street, in Montreal. The original idea came from Mr Jocelyn Tremblay, President of the SAQ at the time. At first, Vin en Vrac only offered a rather narrow range of wines, all of them table wines.

Since its foundation in 1999, Maison des Futailles is an important player in the area of wine production as well as bottling and marketing wines and spirits.

In 1999, Maison des Futailles bought Vin Andres du Québec, owner of the Saint-Hyacinthe counter; as a result, Vin en Vrac made its appearance right next to the Highway 20. Since then, both our stores have been renovated in order to better satisfy the needs of our customers. In August 2006, Maison des Futailles was bought by private interests. Kruger Inc. acquired 75% of its shares while 25% went to the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ.

Today, Vin en Vrac has diversified its selection of wines and offers top-quality products. You can find varietal wines originating from various countries, such as France, Italy, Australia, Spain, United States, Chile, Argentina and South Africa. Moreover, for some years now, we have diversified our variety of products by adding a range of spirits at competitive prices.

We are updating our Vin en Vrac counters this year. The brand-new concept features a cutting-edge decor, an Enomatic system that allows people to taste wine in ideal conditions, and a simpler, quicker way for customers to bottle their own wine.
